The Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction (ICLR) was established in 1998. It is an initiative of the insurance community, the University of Western Ontario, the Ontario Research and Development Challenge Fund, and other partners to reduce the loss of life and property caused by severe weather and earthquakes. The ICLR is working to build society's resilience to natural disasters.

Our General Members are insurers and reinsurers that conduct business in Canada or reinsure risks located in Canada.
Associate Membership is open to all others who support our mission.
